I was told I have a very
"strong mid-western accent" by a person. I haven't noticed it before and now I'm kind of self-conscious and don't want to talk.

I was told in college many years ago that I sounded like I was from Texas. I am a Nebraskan, although a K-State Wildcat. I did not know we had an accent in the midwest. Most on TV news sound like us. I always thought everyone else had one. Accent that is.... We just got the plain???? What do you call it... speech with no accent. Oh,, I guess if you get technical I may be West of the Midwest here in the Cornhusker State. Where is the MidEast anyway???
