I finally got a new mattress today

after sleeping on the same one since I was little. My old mattress was kind of hammock shaped and it just so happened one of my mom's friends decided she wanted a new one. This one is fairly new and seems really nice. I threw out my old mattress in preparation now I don't think that is a good idea. I am highly allergic to cats and the lady that had the mattress has like 3 cats and I am scared the mattress might have cat on it. I hosed it down with disinfectant so I think I got all the cat off. If it still has cat on it I am screwed unless I dig my old mattress out of the dumpster. This goes directly against my firm stance of "what is in the dumpster stays in the dumpster", contrary to the stance of my grandfather. I have only broken my rule once when my friend fell in the dumpster (actually, I might have dropped him in) and I helped him out.
